This was a 30s semi detached house with a shared drive and an L shaped rear.
The owners have maximised the interior space by building up to the boundary where the drive was and filling in the rear space without compromising the garden space.
The new kitchen / dining / family room is really functional and spacious and gets light all through the day with the added side roof windows and large sliding back doors.
The original garage has been maintained but converted into a trendy teenagers hangout.
This was achieved by replacing the old roof tiles with pretty cedar shingle tiles and opening up the brickwork to add large contemporary windows and doors. The interior floors, ceiling and walls were insulated and concealed mood lighting added.
