Spring is finally here; the perfect time to be planning a new fun or functional garden studio. Perhaps a new office / gym / teenagers hangout or all three in one really versatile space.
This really unique garden studio that we designed for a family in Hertfordshire has just been featured in Houzz titled “Key Features to Include in Your New Garden“.
The studio has a complete kitchen with all the appliances in a small size so that it is compact and the kitchen was handmade by a joiner to give a ‘shabby chic’ appearance and make the best use of space. It also has a full shower room and the terrace is furnished with a large dining area, an outdoor kitchen and a pizza oven.

Home Gym
This garage made a really perfect gym space with large bi-fold doors to the garden so it can be opened up in the summer. One wall is entirely mirrored and has a bar opposite for pilates and a free standing workout bench. All the equipment is stored neatly in a tall cupboard and the floor has specialist sprung tiles, ideal for lifting weights.

Kids chill out space
An old garage that was just used for storage had a new timber shingle tile roof added and sections of the brick walls cut out for large contemporary glass windows and doors. The interior floors, walls and roof were insulated and led wall lights and up lights in the exposed rafters were added for soft mood lighting. It is now a really light and cozy kids chill out space and home office.
